When to Seek Therapy
The decision to see a therapist is a very personal decision. Many times, people choose therapy during times of stress and/or emotional pain. There are also times in our lives when the aging process may affect how we feel. The following are situations which one may seek therapy or counseling;
Anxiety, Depression or mood swings, school concerns, employment concerns, loss of employment, loneliness, relationships, life events such as marriage, divorce, death, parenthood, retirement, adolescence, chronic physical illness caused by tension and stress, traumatic events such as accidents, abuse, etc, domestic violence or other abuse, substance abuse, terminal illness, obsessions, anger, and/or self injurious behaviors.
The decision to call a therapist may be a difficult one but it is actually viewed as a strength. Not knowing the answers to your many questions is normal.
